1. Based on your reflections, and on a scale of 1 to 10 (ten being optimal wellbeing), where do you rate your A-physical wellbeing, B-spiritual well-being, C-psychological well-being? Why?
On a scale of 1 to 10 I would say my physical well-being is at an 8, my spiritual well-being is at an 8, and my psychological well-being is at a 5. The reason I feel my physical and spiritual are doing so good is because I try very hard to keep myself healthy physically and I make sure not to let anything interfere with what my personal beliefs are. But, with my psychological well-being it is a little harder because I have some personal issues in that area that make it harder for me to keep it stable. I try very hard to, but there are certain things in my life that trigger things in me mentally and make it difficult to keep things together. But, in the end, I feel that I am on the right track to a healthier me all around, but it's going to take some time to fix certain parts.
2. Develop a goal for yourself in each area (physical, spiritual, psychological).
Physical: My goal is to keep some sort for physical activity in my life so I can keep my body healthy.
Spiritual: My goal is to keep the same practices I have had already and let no one take them away.
Psychological: My goal is to keep as much stressful stuff out of my life and keep a positive attitude even through the hard times.
3. What activities or exercise can you implement in your life to assist in moving toward each goal?
There are some activities that I have already implemented into my life that help me with all of my goals. I do dancing a few times a week to stimulate the body and the mind, and I started playing tennis again to help keep my body in shape. I do not pray on a regular basis, but I do pray when I feel it is truly necessary to like when times are getting hard or someone is in trouble. So I am almost set in my journey to achieve my goals an then I will create some more.
4. Complete the relaxation exercise The Crime of the Century. To hear this exercise, click here. Describe your experience. (What it beneficial? Frustrating? etc.)
Unfortunately, I could not answer this one because there was no link to get to the exercise. If there is someone who as heard or seen the exercise and could tell me how to get to it please let me know.
Thanks!
Hi Meela, I'm having the same issue with the link to the Crime of the Century! It's frusterating!
ReplyDeleteIt is great to hear that your physical and spiritual well-being are so good. I think most people can really relate to the idea that we need to really keep a positive attitude even if things are not going how we planned. This idea is very apparent to me at work, if everyone is happy even though things are going wrong it does not turn into a horrible day-but one bad apple can really ruin the bunch with a bad attitude.
ReplyDeleteI like how you said you dance to stimulate the body and mind, because I find it difficult to meditate or be still and dancing really works to relax me while helping me stay tone.
Great ideas, good luck.
Hi Jamela, I am sorry to hear about your phsycolgical set backs that keep you from keeping it all together. I guess we've all been there at some form or another. But you know what I learned when I got ride of the "stuff" that just was getting me out of wack? I realized that all I had to do was stop it. Literally, get it out of my life and never look back. When you have strong spiritual connections, nothing is out of reach. Even the things we think we are not capable of, we find, that we can over come those obstacles, because faith is always there.
ReplyDeleteI wish you the best, in a successful future, free of the "stressful stuff." This is the only way that you will truly know and understand your potential as a human being, to challenge your fears.
